An Age of Financial Wisdom? Really?

Is there a particular age when you can call yourself wise & enlightened? May, maybe not!

However, research shows that most of us tend to make better financial decisions in our 50s. Life experience, financial literacy, self-awareness, willingness to ask for help, and working with a Certified Financial Planner are all factors that help make sound financial decisions.

Research completed by the ARC Centre of Excellence in Population Ageing Research in Australia in 2022 highlighted that the ages of 53 & 54 seem to be the peak for making sound financial decisions.

The Wall Street Journal published an article titled “The exact age when you make your best financial decision”, link below, giving insights into the conclusion that the early 50’s is a good age to make prudent financial decisions.
